Mini World End
When people hear ‘World’s End’, they usually think the ‘World’s End’ – the big one that is part of the Horton Plains hiking trail. However, there are plenty of smaller, so called ‘Mini World’s Ends’ scattered across Sri Lanka’s hill country, each a spectacular destination in its own right and not exactly ‘Mini’ once you find yourself standing at the edge.
Moror Chalet
Morar chalet is a picturesque getaway nestled in the midst of the Bogawanthalawa ridge, surrounded by misty mountains and elevated at 4350 feet above sea level. The journey to this serene location from Colombo takes approximately three and a half to four hours, as one drives through the lush green fields of Theresia estate, beneath tall gum timber trees. The chalet offers two cozy rooms, designed in rodeo style, which can comfortably accommodate six guests. However, if there are eight adults, the space may become a bit cramped. Despite its seclusion, Morar chalet promises a memorable vacation experience, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain ranges and a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Mini Hydro Power plants
Mini hydro power plants are considered a renewable and environmentally friendly energy source because they do not emit greenhouse gases or other pollutants during operation. They also have a low environmental impact compared to larger hydroelectric power plants.
